# Minimax H3

MiniMax's latest video family. H3 is the flagship with native 2K resolution. H3 Max is the speed variant: near-instant generation, 720p or 1080p, slightly lower quality.

## Overview

Both models read text, image and audio as one context and return video with stereo sound in a single pass. They share strong instruction following and reliable text and brand rendering, which makes the family well suited to advertising and e-commerce.

Start with H3 Max to find the right motion and framing, then run the winning prompt through H3 for the final 2K version.

#### Strengths

* **Speed**: H3 is fast for its quality tier. H3 Max generates faster than the clip plays.
* **Text and brand rendering**: Accurate on-screen text and logos. Usable for motion design.
* **Native audio**: Dialogue, effects and ambience generated with the video.
* **Multi-reference**: Character, product, motion or voice consistency from up to 12 references (images, videos or audios).
* **Flexible formats**: 5 to 15 seconds, 21:9 to 9:16.

#### Ideal use cases

* **Video iterations**: Explore camera moves, hooks and pacing before committing to a heavier render.
* **Motion graphic ads**: Animated typography, product reveals, logo stings, kinetic layouts for paid social.
* **Production-ready adss**: Product films, brand spots, multi-shot storytelling in one clip.
* **Consistent campaigns**: Same character, product or style across many clips via references.
* **High-volume variations**: Localized or multi-format versions of the same creative.

#### Weaknesses

* **No 4K**: Use Kling 3.0 4K, Seedance 2.0 4K or an upscaler.
* **H3 Max caps at 1080p** and loses fine detail on complex motion first.

## How to use effectively

* Write the shot as a brief: subject, action, camera, light, sound.
* One subject, one action, one camera move per clip.
* For motion graphics, spell out the text exactly as it should appear, in quotes.
* With H3 references, tag each one and say what it is for (identity, motion, voice, style).
